Factors to consider when purchasing tube lights

1. Check the nameplate markings and appearance packaging
National laws and standards require LED tube lights to indicate the following information: rated power, applicable ambient temperature, installation surface material, and source marking. Usually, high-quality products have good trademark printing quality, clear and distinguishable markings, and have the manufacturer's address, contact information, after-sales information, and relevant certification marks.
2. Look at the applicable environmental conditions
(1) The installation surface material applicable to the tube lamp
Some surface mounted or embedded tube lights are only suitable for installation on non combustible material surfaces, that is, they are only suitable for installation on surfaces made of metal, mortar, or concrete, and not on surfaces made of wood.
For tube lights to be embedded in the ceiling for installation, it is also necessary to check if there is a symbol indicating that they should not be covered by insulation materials, and warning messages such as "Under no circumstances should the lamps be covered by insulation pads or similar materials.". Special attention should be paid to situations where there is insulation on the ceiling. For example, some wooden houses use insulation layers or layers between the wooden boards for insulation, and some shopping malls, supermarkets, etc. also use insulation materials to reduce noise. If tube lights are installed in these places, they cannot be selected with the symbol "not suitable to be covered by insulation materials".
(2) Applicable ambient temperature
Products certified by 3C will indicate the applicable ambient temperature on the label, usually represented by ta. If there is no such mark on the label, it defaults to an ambient temperature of 25 ℃.
3. Check color temperature
At present, there are two main color tones for the product, one is warm color, that is, yellowish light; One type is cool color, which is biased towards white light. Warm colors give people a warm feeling, suitable for hotels, hotels, and bedrooms; Cool colors give a refreshing feeling and are commonly used for lighting in offices and living rooms.
4. Check if the emitted light is uniform and soft
LED tube lights with transparent glass covers or without glass covers will directly emit light, which can be quite eye-catching when looking up; The transparent cover made of frosted material will provide more uniform and soft light, making it more comfortable, but it will reduce the overall luminous efficiency of the lamp.
5. Look at performance indicators
Mainly focusing on three indicators: light efficiency, color rendering index, and lifespan. Enterprises usually provide the above parameter values on their products or instructions. Currently, the light efficiency level of the lamp is 70lm/W. Some enterprises do not directly indicate this value, but instead indicate power and luminous flux. The value obtained by using luminous flux/power is roughly the light efficiency level of the product; The color rendering index is required to be above 80; The required lifespan is over 30000 hours.
6. Material of the panel
Generally, materials such as iron sheet, die cast aluminum, aluminum, and stainless steel are used. Iron sheet is cheap in price, but it does not last long; It is recommended to use die cast aluminum, aluminum or stainless steel, which are relatively expensive.
